Day 1. Arrival
Arrival to Cairo, meet by Noah Tours' representative, drive to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2. Giza Pyramids-Sphinx-Egyptian Museum
Drive through Giza to visit the eternal resting places of the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty. You will visit the three famous pyramids of the Giza Plateau and the smaller pyramids of the Princess and Queens.
Feel the might of Pharaohs Cheops, who had the Great Pyramid, built of 2.5 million blocks of stones. This architectural miracle is the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world that remains. All others were destroyed in ancient times.
Beside the Great Pyramid, stand both the Pyramid of Chephren, which has the best preserved complex, and the smallest of the three, the Pyramid of Mycerinous.
Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses the largest and richest collection of Pharaonic archaeological artifacts in the world.
Designed and built in 1902 by the architect Marcel Dourgnon, the two-story building is fronted by a sculpture garden, and has a mind-boggling 120,000 objects on display. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3. Old Cairo
Drive with your guide through the fascinating streets of Old Cairo. Visit, by walking tour, the “Suspended Church” called al-Mu’allaqa and the Church of Abu Serga, where, according to the tradition, the Virgin Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus rested upon their arrival in Egypt. You can also explore the Church of St. Barbara. Stroll through the ancient streets to Ben Ezra, the oldest synagogue in Egypt.
Drive to Saint Catherine through the marvelous desert and rugged mountains and savor the spectacular scenery that is Sinai. At the foothills of Mount Sinai you will spend the night. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4. St. Catherine-Sodom-Dead Sea
Visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, little changed since it was built on the site where Moses encountered the Burning Bush. Until recently the only entrance to the enclosure wall of the monastery was by a basket and pulley system to an elevated doorway. At the Monastery, see the fortress that successfully protected monks and pilgrims from advancing Bedouins. Visit the church of Emperor Justinian, the Well of Moses, the Gallery of Icons and the delightful garden shrine of the Burning Bush. Take a photo with the traditional Burning Bush.
Drive to Taba Border cross into Israel. Visit cave of Sodom. Continue to the Dead Sea, enjoy floating in the salty water in the lowest please on earth. Overnight in the Dead Sea Area.
Day 5. Masada-Qumran-Jericho-Bethlehem
Visit Masada, Ascend by cable car. The guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Continue to Qumran, where were found the ancient Dead Sea scrolls. Visit Jericho, the oldest city in history, there visit the Mount of Temptation and the Sycamore tree that Zacharias climbed in order to see Jesus. Drive to Bethlehem, Visit the Church of the Nativity built over the Grotto where Jesus was born. Drive through the Shepherds Fields area with time for shopping and refreshments. Overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 6. Bethany-Mt. Olives-Jerusalem Old City-Mt. Zion
In Bethany, Visit the Church of Lazarus and Lazarus’ Tomb. Drive up the Mt. of Olives to view Jerusalem as Jesus would have seen it. Visit the Chapel of Dominus Flevit, Visit Church of Paternoster, Visit Chapel of Ascention, Walk the Palm Sunday road, Visit Garden of Gethsemane, with its ancient olive trees, Visit the Church of All Nations. Continue to Mt. Zion, Visit the Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the House of Caiaphas the High Priest. Overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 7. Jerusalem Day
In Old City: Visit Temple Mount, Visit Dome of the Rock, Worship on Temple Mount, Visit the Western Wall and the Western Wall Tunnel, Visit Pool of Bethesda, Visit St. Anne’s Church, Walk through the Via Dolorosa, Visit Convent of Zion Sisters, Visit Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Visit Temple Institute. Have some Free time in Jerusalem and then back to hotel for Overnight.
Day 8. Jerusalem-Galilee
Check out of hotel. Visit Herodian, Visit Garden Tomb, celebrate a Holy Communion at the Garden Tomb. Visit the Israel Museum, Shrine of the book and the Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the Second Temple.
Drive to Galilee: View Nob, place of the Ark, View Gibeah, Saul’s hometown, View Bethel, Jacob’s ladder, View Shiloh, place of Ark of the Covenant. Visit Lebonneh, Jacob’s well, View Shechem, Mt. Ebal & Mt. Gerizeim, Visit Samaria. Overnight in Tiberias.
Day 9. Capernaum - Tabgha - Mt. Beatitudes - Caesarea Philippi - Jordan River
After breakfast visit Capernaum, where much of the Galilean Ministry took place. Continue to Tabga, where 5000 were fed by Jesus who performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves. Visit the Mt. of Beatitudes. Near here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles. Drive to Caesarea Philippi, View Mt. Hermon. Visit Mt. of Transfiguration. Drive back to the hotel, stop at the Jordan River Yardenit to renew our Baptismal promise. Overnight in Tiberias.
Day 10. Nazareth - Cana - Mt. Carmel - Haifa - Caesarea - Jaffa - Tel Aviv
After Breakfast travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life and visit Mary’s Well. Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. Continue to Mount Carmel Haifa-view of the Harbor. Continue to Haifa, visit the Bahai gardens. Drive to Caesarea, the Roman capital, to see Crusaders city wall and inscription of Pontius Pilate; Visit Jaffa, where St. Paul saw the vision of gentile mission for a conclusion to the pilgrimage. Have a Bus Tour of Tel Aviv. Drive to the Airport for Departure.
