Arrive at Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Meeting and assistance by Noah Tours‘ representative. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
Tag 2
Cairo – Giza
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Coptic Christian area of Old Cairo. Continue to the Egyptian National Museum, where you will see the treasures of the boy-king Tutankhamen. Travel to Giza, where we visit the world-famous Pyramids and the 5000-year-old Sphinx, still guarding this important region. We will also visit the El Khalil Bazaar for a unique shopping experience. Overnight in Cairo.

Cairo – Mt. Sinai – St. Catherine
We depart Cairo this morning after breakfast, traveling through the tunnel under the world-famous Suez Canal and drive to the foot of Mount Sinai. We will visit St. Catherine’s Monastery and the Chapel of the Burning Bush and reflect on Moses‘ experiences at Sinai, where he received the Ten Commandments. We will check into our hotel in the St. Catherine area overnight.

Mt. Sinai – Taba – Eilat – Dead Sea
Early morning climb of Mt. Sinai. Time for prayer and worship. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Cross Taba border into Eilat, Israel. Short sightseeing of the southern port city of Eilat and proceed via the Arava Valley to the Dead Sea overnight.

Dead Sea - Qumran - Beit Shean - Megiddo - Tiberias
After breakfast, enjoy floating on the Dead Sea. Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Proceed through the Jordan Valley to visit the Beit Shean Archeological site. We will visit Megiddo, King Solomon’s fortress city and the prophetic site of Armageddon, and drive to the Tiberias/ Sea of Galilee hotel overnight.

Arbel – Mt. Beatitudes – Tabgha – Capernaum – Boat Ride
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Arbel Mountain and see the beautiful Sea of Galilee from the top of the mountain. Visit Mount Beatitudes. Visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes Tabgha, where Jesus fed 5000 men, and then move on to the village of Capernaum. Visit Peter’s House and see where Jesus stayed while he was preaching in the local synagogue. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Overnight in Tiberias, Sea of Galilee.

Cana – Nazareth – Mt. Carmel – Caesarea – Jerusalem
After breakfast, depart Tiberias driving via Cana, Nazareth, Mt. Carmel, Caesarea, to Jerusalem. Check-in at the hotel overnight.

Jerusalem – Mt. Of Olives - City of David - Ophel Archeological Site - Cardo
After breakfast, drive up the Mt. of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the City of David archeological site, where it all began. Continue to the Ophel Archeological site next to the Temple Mount. Visit the Western Wall, (optional visit of the Western Wall Tunnel) and continue to the Jewish Quarter and the Cardo Ancient Roman Street, which is in the center of the Old City of Jerusalem. If time permits, we will visit also Mt. Zion, the Room of the Last Supper, and King David’s Tomb. Overnight in Jerusalem.

All Day Jerusalem – Old City – Ein Karem – Yad Vashem
In the morning, visit Temple Mountain. Continue to the Old City of Jerusalem and walk through the Via Dolorosa to Calvary. Then visit the Church of Holy Sepulcher. In the afternoon, drive to Ein Karem, which is located near Jerusalem. We will see the house where St. John the Baptist was born. We will visit the Church of the Visitation, the site where Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. From there, continue to visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. (optional visiting Israel Museum – Shrine of the Book) Rest of the day free for shopping. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Bethlehem – Allenby Border – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Petra
After breakfast, drive to visit Bethlehem. Proceed to cross the border to Jordan via Allenby Bridge to visit Madaba and Mt. Nebo. Madaba is most well-known for the Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics found across the city, especially a mosaic map of the Holy Land from the Byzantine era. This can be found on the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George’s floor. Then proceed to Mt. Nebo which is the traditional place where Moses was shown the Promised Land. Enjoy the spectacular view. On a clear day, you can see the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley Jericho, even Bethlehem and Jerusalem. You can visit here the Memorial Church of Moses, a historic church atop the Mount Nebo, an elevated ridge of the Abarim in Jordan. Originally built in the second half of the 4th century CE on the site, where according to the Hebrew Bible Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land and according to a few Islamic scholars Musa (Moses) was buried. Proceed to Petra overnight.

Petra – Amman – Departure
After the breakfast, it will be all-day tour in fantastic Petra. Enter the Red City of Petra through the Siq by foot*. This is a narrow passage through the mountains which has inspired people for centuries. The impressive treasury wonder appears suddenly at the end of the gorge, leaving the visitors breath-taken by its size, color, and beauty. Continue into the heart of this ancient city carved into the mountains, passing hundreds of tombs and monuments and a spectacular amphitheater. Then drive to Amman International Airport for the flight home. *Optional: At an additional fee, ride a horse carriage or golf cart to the treasury instead of walking.
