11 Day Jordan & Israel Tour of Historical Sites

Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport. Meet and be assisted by Noah Tours’ representative. Drive for a full day tour along the 5000-year-old King’s Highway, one of the most memorable journeys in the Holy Land, passing through a string of ancient sites. At Madaba, “The City of Mosaics”, visit the contemporary Greek Orthodox church of St. George and the wonderfully vivid 6th-century Byzantine mosaic map showing the entire region from Jordan and Palestine in the north to Egypt in the south. Then to Mt. Nebo where Moses would have gone to get a view of the Promised Land before he died. From a platform in front of the church, one can enjoy a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Drive through the magnificent scenery of Wadi Mujib to Kerak, with refreshments and optional Buffet Lunch at King Castle Restaurant. Then proceed to visit the Crusader Castle. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight in Petra.

Breakfast at the hotel. A full-day tour of ancient Petra; the home of the Nabateans. A complete city carved into a mountain with huge colorful rocks giving it the name the Red Rose City. Optional buffet lunch at Basin Restaurant inside Petra city. Continue the tour. Transfer to hotel for dinner and refreshments. Drive to Petra for Candlelight Night Visit. Return to Hotel. Overnight in Petra.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Wadi Rum desert. Arrive at the visitor center for a 3-hour jeep tour, visiting: Burrah canyon via Alameleh, Khor um Ishrin, Lawrence house, Siq Lawrence. Optional return to the visitor center for Buffet Lunch. Drive to the Dead Sea the lowest point on earth below sea level. Arrive at the hotel for dinner and Overnight in the Dead Sea.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for leisure and swimming / floating in the Dead Sea. After lunch drive to cross the Allenby Bridge into Israel. Meet and assist at another side by our representative. Drive to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour visiting Tiberias, take a boat ride to Capernaum, the remains of the 2nd-century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves. Visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th-century mosaic floor. Optional Lunch en route. Continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on Mount. Drive to the Banias Spring and waterfall and tour the Golan Heights. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Breakfast at Hotel. Full day tour visiting: Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans; the excavations of the ancient city; the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon, the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, including the well-preserved water supply system. Optional Lunch en route. Drive to Haifa to visit the Persian Gardens at the Bahai Temple. Drive to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour visiting Nazareth via Cana in Galilee. In Nazareth, visit the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop, and Mary’s well. Drive to Beit Shean, a newly excavated city to visit the Roman theatre. Continue along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. Optional Lunch en route. Visit the ancient city of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and drive along the shore of the Dead Sea to Massada. Climb Massada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system, and Herod’s Palace. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour visiting the Old City of Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Church of All Nations, Tomb of David at Mount Zion, Room of the Last Supper. Enter within the walls of the city and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount, Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Oriental Bazaar. Transfer to hotel for dinner and Overnight in Jerusalem.

Full day tour visiting the Model of Jerusalem during the period of the Second Temple, Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust, Ein Karem, and the Church of Visitation. Optional lunch en Route. Drive to Bethlehem visiting the Church of the Nativity. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
