8 Day Egypt & Israel Tour
Day 1
Arrival in Cairo - St. Catherine
Arrive to Cairo international Airport. Noah Tours representative will meet you upon arrival and you start the way to St. Catherine. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
St. Mt. Sinai - Eilat
After an early breakfast, climb Mt. Sinai. Transfer to Taba, Egypt-Israel border crossing. Meet by the Israeli Noah Tours’ guide, transfer to Eilat. Time to rest or shopping in Israel’s beautiful southern city. (Optional visiting the Red Sea Marine Park) Dinner and overnight in Eilat.
Day 3
Masada - Ein Gedi - Dead Sea - Qumran - Beit Shean - Tiberias
Breakfast at hotel, then start our way north to the Galilee. We pass by the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Visit Masada, Herod’s desert fortress and the site of one of the most dramatic chapters in Jewish history – climb by cable car. Visit Ein Gedi natural reserve, the oasis mentioned in the Bible where King David fled from King Soul. Enjoy swimming in the Dead Sea, and visit Qumran, where the scrolls of Ezekiel were found. We’ll pass by Jericho, the oldest city in the world, through the Jordan River. Visit Beit Shean archeological site. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 4
Arbel - Mt. Beatitudes - Tabgha - Capernaum - Boat Ride
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Arbel Mountain and sea the beautiful Sea of Galilee from the top of the Mountain. Visit Mount Beatitudes. Visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes Tabgha where Jesus fed 5000 men, and then move on to the village of Capernaum. Visit Peter’s House and see where Jesus stayed while he was preaching in the local synagogue. Enjoy a Boat Ride on the sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Tiberias.
Day 5
Nazareth - Cana - Megiddo - Mt. Carmel - Caesarea - Jerusalem
After breakfast we’ll drive west to Nazareth, the boyhood hometown of Jesus. We’ll visit Church of Annunciation. Continue to Cana the site of Jesus’ first miracle where he turned water into wine. Visit Megiddo, King Solomon’s fortress city and the prophetic site of Armageddon.Ascend to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal and view many biblical sites from the summit. We’ll drive along the Mediterranean coast, visiting Caesarea, where Cornelius, the Roman centurion was the first gentile to be converted to Christianity and see the Roman remains of the city. Drive through Tel Aviv, ascending to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
Jerusalem
Drive up the Mt. of Olives to view Jerusalem as Jesus would have seen it. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive trees. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Lions’ Gate Visit the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the lame man. Continue to Pontius Pilate’s Hall of Judgment the place of the trial of Jesus. Follow the Via Dolorosa to Calvary then to the Church of Holy Sepulcher. End the day at the Garden Tomb for Communion. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem Bethlehem.
Day 7
Jerusalem
Visit the Church of the Nativity built over the Grotto where Jesus was born. Drive through the Shepherds Fields area with time for shopping and refreshments. Drive to Jerusalem for an afternoon visit to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) in the Old City and view the Temple Mount, where Solomon’s Temple once stood. Continue through the Jewish Quarter to Mt. Zion, the Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the House of Caiaphas the High Priest. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem / Bethlehem.
Day 8
Departure
Transfer to Taba, and then transfer to the airport in Cairo.
