1. EIN GEDI NATURE RESERVE
Located in the heart of the Judean Desert, the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve is a stunning place to bring the whole family. This oasis has four springs rushing year-round, keeping the unique area green and lush even in the hottest months of summer. The Arugot Stream Trail is the most popular family friendly hike at the site. This trail follows along the riverbed, making it fun for the kids to splash around in the shallow water as they go along. Be sure to bring your water shoes, as you can’t do this hike without going in the water. Along the path, you can also find hidden water falls and pools to splash in with the kids.
2. SNORKELING IN THE RED SEA
Go diving along the most beautiful beaches is Israel and explore the surface of the ocean with your family in Eilat. The reefs are home to over 250 species of coral and over 1,200 species of fish. So whether you’ve never been diving before, or you’re an expert, there’s sure to be something new to see. The experts we work closely with are extremely professional and always excited to show you Eilat’s underwater paradise. There are plenty of diving clubs to choose from, but we at Noah Tours recommend checking out the Marina Divers.
3. HORSEBACK RIDING AT KING DAVID STABLES
King David Stables is a ranch located just outside of Jerusalem, offering one of the most memorable Israel experiences the whole family can enjoy. Situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Judean Hills, few experiences in Israel will be as memorable as this. The stables offer everything from trail rides, to wild west themed children’s parties, to romantic picnics for parents. King David Stables is family owned and all activity is under the supervision and guidance of life-long professionals, so you’re guaranteed to be in good hands.
4. SEGWAY TOUR THROUGH TEL AVIV-JAFFA & JERUSALEM
Want to see everything the city has to offer, but don’t want to walk everywhere? A Segway Tour is the perfect way to get around the city and see as much as possible. Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden a segway before, the professional guides will begin each session with a preliminary training. See the contrast between old and new as you ride through the modern city of Tel Aviv and the ancient port city of Jaffa. Effortlessly glide past all the other walkers, sorry that they aren’t lucky enough to be riding on a Segway like you.
5. VISIT THE ROSH HANIKRA GROTTOES
Travel up the Israeli coastline to the most northwestern part of Israel and you’ll find beautiful Rosh HaNikra. The site features a majestic cliff overlooking the sea and a famous series of grottoes, or underwater caves. Bring wet shoes and spend the day exploring the grottoes with the family. Afterwards, take the cable car back up and rent a golf cart along the beach front esplanade, or take the kids to the theater which runs audio visual presentations about the site. You can easily spend the whole day exploring the beauty of Rosh HaNikra!
6. FISHING IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
Take your family on a private fishing excursion in northern Israel on the Mediterranean Sea. The fishing spot is near the northern Lebanon border, at Achziv Beach. Tourists wake up early early in the morning with the dawn, and hop on their private rental boat with a fishing instructor. The motor boat will go out around 2 kilometer from the shore so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the ocean and catch local and exotic fish. Guy, from our office, took a day fishing with his family. They had a lovely time enjoying the early morning air and fishing at sea.
7. UPPER GALILEE RAFTING IN THE JORDAN RIVER
Rafting in Israel’s nothern Jordan River is a super fun way to cool off and chill out with your family. The river flows from the snowy peak of Mt. Hermon, so even in the middle of summer the water is quite cool. In unsinkable rafts, you’ll be able to float along the Jordan River for hours, stopping whenever you want for a break. Most of the river is pretty slow, though there are some fast/white water sections. This activity is great even for small kids (down to 3 year olds), although knowing how to swim is recommended. Keep in mind it can get pretty busy during the summer months, as it’s also a popular activity for Israelis.
8. DIVING WITH DOLPHINS
Dolphin Reef Eilat, on the shore of the Red Sea, is an ecological site unique to Israel. Visitors can enjoy a natural atmosphere, beautiful views, and cozy beach, together with the exciting opportunity of meeting and observing dolphins in their natural habitat. A group of “bottlenose” dolphins carryout their daily routine of hunting, playing and socializing. The dolphins are 100% free to choose between human company or to continue their daily life in the group. Visitors can enjoy getting close to the dolphins from floating piers or during one of our guided swims or dives, suitable for anyone who isn’t afraid to get wet! This is a great way to make your Israel Family Tour an unforgettable experience.
